Home Made for the Holiday {Grand parents}

I have this Wonderful, Crafty Neighbor.  She is amazing.  She doesn't have a blog to follow cuz she is busy teaching her 5 girls how to craft, cook and sew. And let me tell you, those girls (the older ones of course) craft, sew and cook just like there Momma. Amazing!!! I don't know how she does it.
So I asked my friend if she would be willing to help me out with our Hand Made for the Holidays.
(secretly I really needed this tutorial so I can make one of my own)

She has been making these for a bit and I just love them.  Each one has its own personality and a little something special about it.  Any Granny would be Tickeled Pink to have this beauty to wear.  So here you go.. Click on the link and it will take you to a Google doc with step by step to make your own.

Today's Tutorial is brought to you by Pick Your Plum. (If you want to check our Pick your Plum click on the link on the right.)  I love this company.  Awesome crafts supplies at half the price. They do an item a day for great prices.  I love getting up in the morning (7am MST) and seeing what's new. I am kind of an addict.  For 2 reasons:
 1. I am a craft addict.  If I see something that is cute, easy, and my style I will buy it.
2.  There prices are so good. I can't pass the up.  I love making crafts for a bargain.

I have several Projects I have made with Pick Your Plum items and some just waiting to be used (Mostly cuz I loved the item and didn't have a purpose. Yet... But the price was so good!)

One of the items are these beautiful charms used in today's post. Here are a few others.
Hair Clips

Earrings

Vinyl
Chalkboard and Dry Erase Vinyl

I also have a  nice box  full of goodies I am still trying to decide what to do with.

Silhouette Wall Hangings

We purchased our new home a year ago. I am still trying to get my house put together.  Lots to do. My Silhoutte came to the rescue. I made these cute mixed media canvases.

I first purchased 3 canvases.  Various sizes. Mine were all under $4 each.  I cut vinyl dandelions for one.  Stuck them on the white canvas and Sprayed the canvas yellow.  I pulled teh vinyl off and this was the result.  Next I used gunny sack fabric to cover the canvas.  I cut brown heat transfer material and cut out the branches, name and year.  I ironed them onand them stappled my fabric to the canvas.  It was super simple and turned out pretty cute.  My chevron board is fabric with fabric twisted flowers. All in all I spent maybe $15 for all three

Homemade t-shirts

Our new little guy is super chubby and tall.  He is so big he has almost outgrown most of his summer clothes and summer just started here in Idaho.  So I have had to improvise and get him some shirts.  In my creative quest to be a little more than boring I used my Silhouette again to make him a few shirts.

Here is my super baby.  I used heat transfer and fabric transfer to create this little shirt.  I designed the diamond and "S" in Silhouette program and cut it out.

Little Mister Monocle
I love the mustache thing going on.  I used the mustache and monocle from Lettering Delights, Mustache Mania and Funny Faces.  I think my little guy may need a few more shirts.  What to do next????

4th of July Graphic Tees with my Silhouette

I saw the Silhoutte on a blog last summer.  I just had to have one.  It has sat for a while in a closet.  Pregnancy, Baby, Kids.  They suck up my time.  But I finally started to use it and I love it!!!!! I have had this project on my mind for a while and finally got it done.  I had a deadline but I got done early so I am here to share! 4th of July shirts.  My older boys picked the same one. So I only Photographed one of them. Here they are:

For the big boys

The Little Miss

And last but not least the Little Man

I can't wait for the to wear them!  They are equally excited.

I used a template from the Silhoutte America store and the font is Oh Shoot!
If you love to craft this is definitely for you.  It cuts heat transfer, fabric, paper, magnet paper, and tattoo

paper and so much more.  I learn something new every time I use it! If you are interested watch crafty blogs for Promos.  They do them alot.

Check back for my other Silhoutte projects.
