The other day a neighbor asked if I was interested in making freezer corn. I was thrilled. So we went out to here garden at 6:30 in the morning and picked 230 ears of corn and headed home. While talking about the best way to cut it off the cob we looked at several corn cob cutters online. After doing a little research we decided the one that would work the best was unavailable in our area. So we did the next best thing. We used what we had and it worked great!
You probably have what you need right in your own kitchen.
Here's what you need:
Bundt Pan & a Serrated Knife.
Use the bottom of the cob and place it in the center hole of the bundt pan. It fits perfectly! Then use your serrated knife to cut from top to bottom on the cob. The best part is the corn falls right into the bundt pan. No more corn all over the counter or cobs slipping from underneath.
I poured my corn into a large bowl and then scooped it out with a measuring cup in to freezer bags. Freeze them in the amounts you like!
