Mother's Day gift from Sears

“I am a member of the Collective Bias®  Social Fabric® Community.  This shop has been compensated as part of a social shopper insights study for Collective Bias®  and Sears #cbias #SocialFabric #ThisisStyle
All opinions are my own.

This year for Mother's Day I wanted to express to my grandmother how much she means to me.  In the past few years she has been ailed with health problems.  She has been in the hospital way to much.  I will always remember the many things she has done for me.  She has cared for me through many trails in my life. Growing up I was the only girl for many years.  I am the oldest of 5, having 4 brothers. I was the only granddaughter.  As a child I frequently spent weekends at her home with the intent of spending time with her. We often found ourselves shopping on Saturday at the local mall and getting spoiled.  I have fond memories of my grandmother and time I have spent with her.  I truly appreciate everything she has done for me.  From the time I was a little girl she has always shown me how to love, to try, and to appreciate all the good things.

Don't you just dig the gold couch!

Cinco De Mayo Menu

Cinco de Mayo is this weekend! Ariba!! Today I am sharing my quick dinner menu with you. Nothing fancy just plain old American styled Mexican food. Of course these are the main items but I will be adding all the fixings. And maybe some decor or dressing up for the kids!! Enjoy.

What do you have for or do for Cinco De Mayo?

BBQ Cowboy Casserole {Recipe}

So way back when I had my baby, we had neighbors bringing us dinner for a few days.  We received all kinds of yummy food. One neighbor, who is an amazing cook, brought us what looked like a Shepard's pie.  But this little beauty had a little twist.   It was Bar-b-que sauce instead of tomato soup.  It was to die for delicious.  It is amazing what just one change can do to a recipe.  So I hit her up for the recipe and I am sharing it with you.  This is a version of a Martha Stewart recipe I was unable to find on the internet.  I have altered it a bit. I give you BBQ Cowboy Casserole or twisted Sheperd's Pie.  Whatever its called it's delicious.

At Home Spa Hands Treatment

I love myself some soft hands.  So when I did a  Sally Hansen nail party (Here) I just had to share my quick and easy, at home spa hands treatment.   It's a little trick I learned while flying around the world as a flight attendant.   The air is so dry and as a flight attendant you are washing your hands all the time. It makes for dry, cracked and sometimes painful hands!  When your on an airplane you have very limited supplies. You of course have what's in your bag. Plus snacks and beverages.  I am not sure who came up with this Mini spa hands treatment but I am sure glad they did.

Easy Homemade Fruit Roll Up's

Last week I attended SNAP!  While  hanging out with some fantastic bloggers I pulled out my Cracked Fruit.  I passed it around and had a little myself.  One of the girls asked what it was and if the recipe was on my blog.  I guess I thought everyone knew how to make homemade fruit crack. So I have never share my super amazing treat with you all. Easy Homemade Fruit Roll Ups!!
I have a love of all things fruity. Have I mentioned I have a fruit allergy??  I am super allergic to most fruits and some veggies.  I have a really hard time getting enough in my diet. A friend gave me this quick and easy recipe. An I LOVE it.  I can have a yummy sweet treat without all the sugar and preservatives.  It only takes 2 ingredients and your stove. This is my go to healthy snack.

Time Out for Women {Idaho Falls}

I love myself a great Girls Weekend.  Usually its filled with great food, girl talk and no kids.  This weekend was a little like this but so much more.  For those of you who don't know I am a Mormon.  I blog like all the rest of my crazy, crafty, blogger friends. And I am Mormon.  I love my faith and practices its teachings.  One of the great things about where I live and is there is a large populations of LDS members here.  Because of the large population we have opportunities to attend church related  engagements.  One such engagement is Time Out For Women (TOFW). Time Out for Women is a weekend gathering of women to listen and be uplifted through speakers, music and service.
So I teamed up with these amazing friends and attended TOFW. It was an awesome experience.

Here is what I needed to hear!!
