Leather Chevron/ Arrow Necklace and Earrings DIY

So lately I have been seeing leather jewelry everywhere.  One Little Mama has these amazing tear drop earrings on her site.  I was totally inspired.  I found this amazing silver leather at Joann's. ( It comes in copper and gold too!) And let it sit for a day or two.  Then I started thinking, what if I made it layered and or chevron.  So I went to work and came up with this fun, lightweight silver leather necklace.

Fimo Clay Bead Necklace

Lately I have been working on a ton of projects. I just haven't finished one. So when A girlfriend showed me a necklace she recently bought for over $50.
The necklace is adorable.  I loved the bright colors. But the price... Not so much.  I thought is looked super simple to make so I decided to give it a try. Everyone has seen the simple bubble gum necklaces. These are just as adorable and reusable!

DIY Woven Bracelets

I was taking a leisurely walk around Joanns a few weeks ago and discovered they had this amazing braided trim on the mini bolts in the trim section.  I loved the color and searched for a few more.  They were the perfect colors for a spring bracelet.  Add a little of this and a little of that and voile you have some funky bright colored bracelets for summer! Check out how I did them.

Washi Tape Bracelets

I have the cutest neighbor girls.  She is  8 years old came up with this one. I just had to share.  After making these my 4 year old was thrilled.  She has been wearing them around like a princess. They are cute easy and you are not broken hearted when they are ready to throw a way.  I was inspired by this blog post I found on pintrest: Sewing in no mans land. And wonder woman of course!

Supply List:
Empty toilet paper roll
Washi tape
Duct tape
any kind of lovelies; stickers, jewels, flowers whatever you like.
Start off with an empty toilet paper tube.

Cut in Half and up the center. So it looks like a letter "C"

Start wrapping with Washi Tape. I did mine short end to end.  But you can do whatever.  Wrap your entire TP roll.

Next I cut a piece of duct tape the lenght of the inside of the toilet paper roll.  Stick it to the inside.  I use the duct tape to give the bracelet some stability and to hold the shape.

Cover in whatever {Lovelies} you would like.  We used jewel stickers.

This is a great rainy day or summer activity for your kiddos or to use for a Halloween costume for boys or girl super hero cuffs.  The creativity is endless.  Mix or match, make shapes and designs with your washi tape.  Just let your kiddos create!

Knobby Necklace

A friend found this adorable knob necklace a small boutique in Utah.  It was adorable.  The price not so much.  So we went out hunting for the supplies to make one.  It is kind of one of those personal preference kinda projects where no two will be the same.  So here is my {Knobby} Necklace

I found my knob on line at Mindy Mae's Market.  I used my others for cabinet doors.  This one was perfect for a necklace.

You have to get a knob that has a whole all the way through.
Sometimes they are called curio knobs.

This knob was purchased at Hobby Lobby.

Not to bad for a cabinet knob.
Right???

Home Made for the Holiday Day 6 For the Ladies

I was at a craft show and a local vendor was selling jeans and jewelry.  All was manufactured.  When you bought a pair of jeans you got to choose a piece of jewelry.  I found a necklace I loved and she ended up getting it with her purchase.  I decided to recreate it with a little twist.  Here is what I cam up with.
